Fusion singjay Davianah, the daughter of reggae star Tony Rebel, sent her fans into a tailspin over the weekend when she posted a video of herself in what appears to be a bedroom, wearing a bloody T-shirt splattered with blood.  The camera panned down to show numerous drops of blood on the floor.

She captioned the scene with an ominous “ready to go”, triggering rumors that the video was a failed suicide attempt, and a jarring cry for help.

“I’m just sick of being abused, mentally and physically, I’m tired. I have to be brave and strong and positive all the time & I’m just tired. Am just here for people to use and abuse because if that’s my role in life, I definitely don’t want it anymore. I had enough and am just ready to go now. I’m ready!!!” she wrote.

However, checks with close friends confirmed that she was O.K. and was convalescing in a popular undisclosed hotel in the New Kingston area.

“She has cuts and bruises, and her nose is broken. She went to the doctor already but she is not sure she wants to make a police report. She says the system doesn’t work the police even argue with her about how many times she has complained and still go back to her man. She doesn’t feel safe,” a close source told DancehallMag.

This morning, Davianah posted a statement via her Instagram this morning.

“No form of abuse is acceptable. I want every woman and every little girl out there to know that their lives, their bodies , their minds have value. Never let anyone tell you different. Never let your abuser convince you otherwise. After I was attacked by my domestic partner, I was so traumatized by the attack that I posted a now-deleted video on my IG. I would like to thank my fans, friends and family who have reached out to me since the incident with an outpouring of prayers and well wishes that has given me strength. I have not made an official police report as yet. I am asking for privacy at this time as I deal with this issue,” the statement said.

The singjay has not yet reported the matter to the police.

The artist should be releasing her five-track Bad One EP under her eponymous label any time soon. With every purchase of the EP, fans will receive free merchandise and a ticket to her virtual Bad One concert slated for this month.
