Rvssian’s Latest Song ‘Nostálgico’ With Rauw Alejandro, Chris Brown Is A Late Summer Banger

Nostálgico—the latest song by Jamaican producer Rvssian—has already surpassed 2.4 million views on YouTube two days after its release, and is currently trending at No. 19 worldwide for music.

The half Spanish, half English Reggaeton-infused song features Puerto Rican singer Rauw Alejandro and American hitmaker Chris Brown. The two reminisce on a past relationship that they want back.

Released under the Sony Music Entertainment US Latin label, the music video is directed by Edgar Esteves (Russ, G-Eazy, Nicki Minaj, J-balvin) and it takes place at a house party reminiscent of pre-pandemic party times. Rvssian is seen arriving with a girl and entering the house. Unlike many of his previous music videos he is prominently featured all throughout Nostálgico as he flirts and spares with a love interest. At times, he even sings, like back in his Straight Jeans And Fitted days with Vybz Kartel.

Alejandro starts the song with a Reggaeton flavor in one part of the house with a women in a tub,  “Aquella noche que volviste /Llorando me Convenciste /Que tu no quería hacerme daño /Hicimos el amor en el baño” which translates to “That night that you came back /Crying you convinced me /That you didn’t want to hurt me /We made love in the bathroom,” in English.

The scene then switches as Chris Brown punches high notes on the Reggaeton beat. The two go back and forth and it’s hard to tell who has the greater talent.

Chris sings,  “I’m tryna keep you warm /Quarantining with me for no reason /Love drunk got me floored /Left your Chanel bag in my Porsche /I shoulda dropped you off /Memories we repeat every weekend.”

Although it has the ingredients of a summer song, in the video Brown is dressed in a Christmas sweater and the house is decorated with green trees and lights fitting for the upcoming holiday season.

Definitely, one to watch to get ready for some fun and nostalgia this Christmas.
