Dancehall singjay Ce’cile got in a heated argument with a some of her Jamaican compatriots on Saturday over COVID-19 protocols.

The argument began after the Breakup singer took issue with the actions of a 22-year-old fully-vaccinated university student, who became infected with the COVID-19 virus, after ditching Ministry of Health protocols including mask-wearing, and attended and attending a series of parties for weeks with several of his friends.

According to the article which was published in the Jamaica Observer, the student, “despite the many warnings to continue practising safety and prevention measures, such as mask-wearing, adopted a more relaxed approach.”

“If this is true this is just ridiculous… people really dont listen. Playing with peoples lives yo,” Ce’cile wrote in response to the article, a snippet of which was posted on Instagram.

Ce’cile seemingly lost her cool after one follower bhaktuhlife_ sought to rubbish her statements and question her intelligence.

“@badgyalcecile You must be at the bottom of the IQ requirement, good gosh . Why are we so docile?  Why can’t we understand the game that is being played?” he wrote.

In turn, the Manchester native replied: “@bhaktuhlife_ u know all if me know u gimmie covid me bax u right a grung.”

“So what agenda have fi do wid careless. Ok bring ur entire family go upa di hospital and sit with covid patients i DARE YOU no mask. In fact send me your name in my DM make me find someone wid covid who needs help and u go WITHOUT MAKS AND TAKE UR WHOLE FAMILY TOO. I DARE U.. LESS TALK AND ACTION,” she added.

Another commenter, vibesdan joined in the squabble in a mini-tirade against Ce’cile.

“@badgyalcecile you’re the stupid one who is telling people to take it, but u still can get it even if you’re fully vaccinated, and you still can pass it on even after you’re vaccinated!!!! So where’s the logistics,” he said, referencing her recent revelation that she had been vaccinated and her numerous calls for other Jamaicans to do likewise.

Another commenter el_chop87 chose to be on the side of mischief jeering: @badgyalcecile joe encourage you and skatta to take the vaccine.”

In response to vibesdan, Ce’cile declared that persons who choose to publicly condemn and label those who have taken the vaccine as stupid, should be denied health care should they become infected.

“@vibesdan some a oonu fi stay home when u get sick and no go no hospital,” she wrote.

“U should be refused service. Imagine wanting to get looked after by health care workers who risked their lives and have to take the very vaccines and wear the very masks u out here calling people stupid for. Honestly yall need to contribute to these peoples salaries. Please make sure if you get sick from COVID u stay home since the hospitals full,” she added.

Just over a week ago, and days after her Downsound Entertainment stablemate Cordel ‘Skatta’ Burrell disclosed that he overcame COVID-19, after a horrible battle with the virus, Ce’cile had announced that she took her second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine in early July.

In addition, she had said that she was no longer allowing unvaccinated persons into her house, as she was asthmatic, and therefore highly vulnerable.

She had also pointed to the nonchalant behavior of some of her friends who had ended up becoming infected with COVID-19,  after failing to take the prevention protocols seriously, noting that this was among the reasons unvaccinated persons were now banned from entering her abode along with the fact that she was asthmatic and so was highly vulnerable to the virus.
