Alkaline Delivers A Dose Of ‘Medicine’ For Party Ready Vendetta Fans

The Vendetta Boss dropped off the visuals for his feel-good summer anthem, a dose of Medicine for the party-starved masses. The Autobamb Records produced single is from Alkaline’s Billboard-charting sophomore album Top Prize, released to much acclaim back in May.

Equal parts breezy and bawdy, the track is as much for the ladies as it is for weed aficionados; ‘after all’, that plus Hennessy, hot tracks and outside seems like the ‘formula’ for perfect summer vibes. “Just enjoy yourself and live your life/ Come fi a shot a it she open wide/ Mix inna me cup and me ago sip until me done/ If you see me eye a fade a the drugs,” Alkaline sings on Medicine. 

Visuals by KingPride Productions match the girl-toasting, ganja-smoking lyrics perfectly. The rhythmic backdrop behind the rowdy antics has everyone dancing — from the hotties showing off their twerking skills in tiny outfits, the “thugs dem”, to even the slender Detta deejay. The reel captures all the remedies for boredom and lockdowns, and herbal ‘medicine’ gets a heightened feature in the three minute treatment as well. The Champion Boy is seen chilling with his spliff throughout the clip, dropping bars about ‘blasting off’ and a clever nod to (Thomas) Edison, the first man to ‘light up’ the world when he invented the lightbulb. 

200K views in twelve hours is a good look, and the music video is moving up the Youtube Trending list as well. Currently at #15, Alkaline was just in time to spark up the second weekend in July, and his fans are glad he came through.

Now that the Hostage deejay has released the surprise visuals, he seems all set for his summer takeover. He’s scheduled to make appearances at Heaven on Earth, dubbed ‘the summer’s biggest outdoor event’ on July 25, and tomorrow (July 10) at Beach Road Trip [BRT] Weekend’s Glow Eruption, his second headline performance on the popular party tour festival.
