Skillibeng Reacts To Recent Police Shootout With Robbers In New Track ‘Trafalgar Road’: Listen

Dancehall starboy Skillibeng did not disappoint his fans, now releasing a new single about the recent shooting involving the police and armed robbers on Trafalgar Road in New Kingston on Monday.

After the incident occurred last week, Skillibeng (along with Gold Gad) were challenged by some on social media to produce a quick return with a track much like Coke, the very sensationalized account of the plane crash in Rocky Point, Clarendon back in January.

Skillibeng alongside Dancehall artist Equaliza dropped Trafalgar Road on May 12, just two days after the shoot out. Similar to Coke, the new release includes a snippet of the incident’s news report before Skilli and Equaliza present themselves as vicious, more competent robbers with an untouchable repute. They both detail several of their criminal exploits and warned on the hook: “This is a stickup, shoot anybody weh a shift up, roll up the bag a make we lift up. Dem know sey we friend dem vicious.”

Skilli places himself at the scene of Monday’s gun battle on Trafalgar Road. “Shoot some boy in a traffic. We, dem nuh ramp wid. Done tell dem bout EastSyde badness, ” he deejays.  “Di K ah clap nuh fraid a man, nuh fraid a cop,” he adds.

Unlike the fatal outcome of the real shooting, Skillibeng and Equaliza make their escape safely and with a grand finale, “Police a come … gone pon tour!”

Trafalgar Road is a big hit with the fans who are liking the surprise teaming. “Bclt mi nah lie this collaboration is the best🔥🔥🔥,” and “Both a dem yute yah bad Skilli lyrics a chop wicked nuh blct 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” were some of the responses.

Some fans went to the extent of thanking Equaliza for showcasing the real talent, that is, Skillbeng, “Best verse Skilli drop in months, thanks Equaliza fi drag out the talent👍.”

Another added, “Best verse from #Skilli in months 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.”

As for making good on the challenge, the fans commended Skilli’s quick response and the outcome of the track. “Skilli mi know u did aguh dweet😂😂,” “It’s way better than I imagined I must say… and i know yall can relate too,” and “Dis tuff doe… 🔥🔥… Man nuh waste no time 😂😂,” were a few comments.

The EastSyde artiste has another brand new release, a collaboration with Dancehall singer Honey Milan on the music video for Chappa Gyal, which appears on his The Prodigy Ladies Only tape. He also dropped, One featuring Teejay and Sloppy prior and Money Counter with Young M.A. last month.
