Minister Christopher Tufton’s wish to see Dancehall starlet Shenseea came true yesterday during an interview with her manager Romeich Major.

The Minister of Health and Wellness met with Romeich on an Instagram Live broadcast, ‘COVID-19 Chat’ on Thursday evening to raise awareness about the coronavirus pandemic and the importance of committing to the protocols in place to combat the virus.

Though the minister joined the chat to get down to the meat of the matter, he had an admission he wanted to get off his chest first. Quite frankly, he told Romeich he was “kinda hoping” to catch a glimpse of the Shengyeng Princess.

“I have a confession to make, I hope you don’t mind,” Tufton said. “Well I was kinda hoping that when I came on I would see Shenseea and not you but anyway I’ll do with you for now.”

Romeich then told the politician he might be in luck as Shenseea was just a beckon’s call away but insisted they carried on with their discussions about the pandemic – which they subsequently did.

However, it seems Tufton’s dream was meant to come true, and halfway through their conversation the Blessed artist appeared and popped her head in the chat to say hello.

Unable to contain himself, an excited Tufton exclaimed, “Oh my God! Wait…Helloo Shenseea, How are you?”

The singer said she was well and indulged in light pleasantries with the minister, who revealed how elated he was to finally meet her, adding, “I can only follow you online because Romeich hiding you.”

His blushing banter went on and would eventually have Shenseea ask “Sound like a lyrics you a lyrics me now” to which he responded, “Can I tell you, I’m a politician so we have lyrics, we are politicians.”

The remark then prompted Romiech to usher her away with the minister ending, “You are very talented and a lot of respect to you.”

Romeich excused his interruption noting he didn’t want anyone to screen record the Live and misinterpret their jesting out of context.

The Bad Alone singer previously came in for praise from the Health Minister when she dropped a freestyle earlier this year and he tweeted a meme about the performance.

When fans questioned whether Tufton had dropped his phone, he responded: “I sometimes think people think politicians aren’t human. In any case I Listen to ALL types of music in my down time. From classical, to religious to dancehall. This freestyle highlighted Shenseas talent – big her up for that!”
