Dancehall artist Popcaan and American rapper Quavo shared their recent link up in Jamaica.  Quavo arrived on the island yesterday to help DJ Khaled put the final touches on his upcoming project Khaled Khaled.

Quavo, a member of popular rap group Migos, posted a snap of himself shirtless with his bling intact, and the Unruly deejay chilling on his Instagram Story last night.

Popcaan, reshared the clip and wrote, “Time for a real Killy.”

Some fans who saw the video pondered if Quavo even knew what Popcaan meant when he said “We outside.”

“Quavo:What we doing? Popcaan: Outside, Quavo: Ok ..I know he shook,” quipped one fan.  “Him even know Weh pappy ah seh 😂,” added another.

A few marveled at Popcaan’s pull with rap superstars, with some even labeling him the Tourism Minister of Jamaica, as he is often the first stop for such celebrities when they touch down in Jamaica.

Others recalled Popcaan snapping at a fan, who had DM’d him using Quavo’s proven pickup line in October last year.

“Yow, mek mi tell unuh dis. Yuh see da snowflake bl——t ting, unuh stop send send da snowflake supm deh inna mi DM. Ah nuh Quavo dis,” Popcaan snapped at the time.   The Migos star had previously shared that he broke the ice with his then-girlfriend Saweetie by sending her a DM of a snowflake emoji, in reference to her Icy Girl single.

However, Quavo has been grabbing headlines recently for his messy split with the Bay Area beauty. He recently had to defend himself after footage of an elevator incident popped up, which many thought was an indicator of physical abuse between the couple.

Meanwhile, Popcaan has been making steady inroads in the American market thanks in part to being signed by Drake’s OVO Sound, but mostly because his music has been consistently good.

He recently scored his first RIAA Gold certification for his part on Jamie xx’s I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times) which also featured rapper Young Thug.   The Firm and Strong singer has racked over 50 international collaborations since his break out the from Vybz Kartel-led Portmore Empire.

The group, Migos, arrived on the island yesterday.
