Shenseea Jumps On Official ‘Beat Box’ Remix With Florida Rapper SpotemGottem

Dancehall songstress Shenseea was recruited by Florida rapper SpotemGottem for another official remix of his viral hit song, Beat Box.

SpotemGottem’s Beat Box blew up after it was made the soundtrack of the “Junebug Challenge” on TikTok and Shenseea grabbed attention in January when she attempted the viral dance challenge.

Unable to nail the moves though, she instead flexed her freestyle chops on the Beat Box riddim with several of her “bros” in the studio.  A repost of her freestyle on TheShadeRoom picked up over 3 million views within 24 hours.

“I couldn’t do the #BeatBoxx dance so fxck it,” she tweeted at the time, with her crew (@blvckwood, @djblackboi_1, and @iamdjemoney) in Miami, Florida where she has been touring and performing while working on her debut album.

Now, Shenseea‘s Beat Box freestyle has gotten an official treatment.

In an Instagram post today, the Blessed singer is finally able to nail the dance move, and she excitedly shared that the remix was now available for streaming.

“How crazy is it that we did this song as a freestyle on Instagram and now I’m actually on the official remix,” Shenseea said.

The original track, released in early 2020, has over 20 million views on YouTube.  It debuted at No. 84 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving SpotemGottem’s his first entry on the coveted chart.

Spotemgottem’s other official Beat Box versions include Beat Box 2 with rapper Pooh Shiesty released in December 2020, and Beat Box 3 with DaBaby released in February 2021, after Baby similarly did his own freestyle.  Beat Box 3 peaked at No. 15 on the Hot 100.

A third official remix of the song with rapper Mulatto, dubbed the Big Latto Mix, was released on March 13, 2021.
