Popcaan, Beres Hammond’s ‘God Is Love’ Is The Collab Fans Didn’t Know They Needed

After their surprise team up at the hugely successful Love From A Distance virtual concert two weeks ago, Reggae legend Beres Hammond and Dancehall heavyweight Popcaan have delivered for the fans an official music video for their epic collaboration, God Is Love.

Beres and Popcaan premiered their single, God Is Love, the first-ever collaboration with these two top stars, to cap the February 28 live-stream event. The two presented a stellar performance, leaving many of the online fans in their feels. The sight of two icons from two different generations of music, co-existing on the same stage together and serenading their distinct sounds on this profound new track was poignantly pleasant.

Producer Shane Brown of Juke Boxx Productions said, “The song was inspired by a dream. The combination of Beres and Popcaan is refreshing, and the message of the song is real.” Now, owing to the tremendous positive responses and urging from the fans, the singers joined forces yet again for a rush release of the God Is Love single and music video, which was shot on the Harmony House Productions premises.

Popcaan and Beres brought back their stage performance in a couple of scenes, showing viewers the candid chemistry of their musical fusion. Other visuals find them deep in one-and-one conversations, along with glimpses of their time in the studio while creating the song.

The God Is Love music video was directed by Shane C Brown, Rasheed Hammond, and Lauren Watkis. The production was presented in association with Harmony House, Unruly Entertainment, and Juke Boxx Productions.
