Jah Cure Celebrates Daughter Kailani Belle’s 9th Birthday
Iconic reggae singer Jah Cure celebrated the ninth birthday of his daughter Kailani Belle Alcock yesterday with a series of photos on Instagram.
The post, which attracted almost 20,000 likes, simply said: “Happy 9th Birthday to princes kb❤️✅.”
One photo of the father and daughter showed them taking a cool dip in a swimming pool under azure skies.
Jah Cure appears to be a devoted father even though he divorced his wife, celebrity fitness trainer, and coach Kamila McDonald in 2017.
The Reggae star has taken a public relations beating in recent months as he has been entangled in a series of incidents. Last year, a leaked video of the Longing For singer surfaced during an imbroglio with a pair of females. Allegations of impropriety were made, and he made a public apology for the crass way he spoke to them. The singer also stated that he never physically abused the females in question.
In a voice note circulated at the time, the singer explained that he had merely been extending sympathy to one of the females who had been the victim of a damaging situation and had only got angry after some items had gone missing from his house.
Then the Grammy-nominated singer got in a public spat with selector Foota Hype who criticized the fashion choices of the Rastafarian Unconditional Love singer calling him a “fake rasta who doesn’t know how to dress”.
Jah Cure shot back saying: “Me know the worst life it’s time for me now to know the best life” and explained that he is a “ladies man” and he dressed in a manner to attract those ladies in particular.
Cure also stressed that he is not in “Rasta competition” with anyone.
Most recently, Brooklyn-based rapper Eazi Money accused Cure of not delivering on a collaboration that was allegedly paid for in advance. In an Instagram post last week, with leaked voice notes, the rapper called out Jah Cure for being a “horrible business man”.
The singer appeared to be in good spirits this week, even posting a picture of himself cracking up over a joke with the caption: “A day without laughter is a day wasted #dowhatmakesyouhappy #keepsmiling😅 #laughoutloud
