Dancehall artist Shenseea took to social media to announce regretfully that due to ‘strict COVID-19 restrictions’ her Valentine’s Day event for Tri-State Area fans, Touch of Roses has to be canceled.

The international star, who released the news on her manager Romeich Entertainment’s Instagram page, also informed all her fanbase, the ShengYengs, that all fans would be refunded in lieu of this unforeseen disappointment.

Shenseea was to perform in Newark, New Jersey this Valentine’s weekend and explained to her ShengYengs that it is not only out of her hands, but also that of the promoters.

“Me no sick. Nuthn no happen emergency wise, family wise, anything like that. But it’s really because of Covid restrictions, like strict strict Covid restrictions,” she explained. “We just got the news in the past hour and so I really cannot do anything about it, neither can the promoters,” she said.

The Trending Gyal singer, 24, in closing, professed her love and appreciation for her immensely passionate fans and also, her hopes to perform sooner rather than later and definitely safely.

“I will definitely see you soon when the law pass say I can perform and all that sh-t. But so so sorry guys… It’s definitely out of my hands,” she said to viewers.

Last week, Shenseea partnered with Jamaica’s Ministry of Health and Wellness for a public health campaign, as the island tightened COVID-19 measures to fight the spread of the virus.  However, some users criticized the Ministry’s first choice for the campaign, since Shenseea has been performing at venues in the United States.
