Jahvillani’s New ‘Skin Bleached’ Look Has Dancehall Fans In A Frenzy
Popular Dancehall artist Jahvillani started the year off on a much lighter note, earning mixed reactions from fans on his latest Instagram posts. The entertainer went viral after many noted his lighter skin color and that all of last year’s posts had conveniently been deleted.
Still, there was no fooling Jahvillani fans, who all but ignored his upful New Years’ caption yesterday: “From A Dollar To A Mill 💰”, and instead chided, praised, and poked fun at his new lighter complexion in the over 1300 comments that followed.
One follower started the sound off with “‘whiteside’ govament 🤣🤣🤣’”, teasing the deejay with his grimy banger, Wileside Government which essentially launched his career.
“Jahviiiii??? You were so fine with your right colour… omg,” a concerned female fan quipped, while another joked “Him skin colour and clarks almost match”.
Others suggested that the Kentucky emcee was using skin lightening products from his girlfriend’s company, –“Frozen creme him thief out 😆”– while others lamented the industry trend that’s been the source of much debate and ire as seen in Spice’s Black Hypocrisy.
“Why these artist keep doing themselves like this,” one fan queried. “So unnecessary. Love the skin you’re in.”

One IG user packed plenty of emojis into her comment, asking, “Then Jahvi this look good to you…… 😂😂😭😭😭 The rubbings definitely doesn’t fit you. 💯💯💯”
Another photo, which attracted over 35,000 likes, appears to be from the set of an upcoming music video and collaboration with fellow Dancehall star Kranium.
It also seems the Rubberband deejay and new father had left us a clue all along on his hot track Domino which dropped late last year. The deejay spits on the three-minute girl anthem “…mi flow tuffa dan a pack a domino/ Bleach out an’ white like snow.”
Jahvillani appears ready to follow that up with a new track, which he previewed on his Instagram Story today to mock the frenzy over his lighter complexion.
