Veteran Reggae artiste Tanya Stephens reached her breaking point on Tuesday (November 17), snapping at an Instagram user who told her it was time to “get a new wig”.

Stephens however didn’t let the pesky comment slide, offering a fiery rebuttal accented by the usual Jamaican bad words.

“Please go get a new wig,” said an Instagram user under a video the artiste shared showing her preparation for the upcoming Sunsplash event.

“Go labbajuice yuh mumma and come offa mi b***** IG, ” responded Stephens.

However, that wasn’t the end of the cursing match at least not for the user cuddles02, who uses the name Colleen.

” The truth hurts,” quipped the user.

Many of Stephen’s fans who commented on the post agreed that the woman’s distasteful wig comment was uncalled for.

Interesting to note Stephens in her over hour-long video posted to the platform, showing her preparation, predicted that someone would comment on her wig.

“Yow, oh my God, a now unno ago rush me fi the wig, it pull up eeh” said Stephens at the beginning of the video.

“A the first time we a come pon stage inna months and months and months… rehearsal …this kinda like play time,” added Stephens.

This is not the first time Stephens has been dragged for her dishevelled wigs, having come out earlier in July 2020 noting that she was tired of persons offering her wigs and to do her make-up.

The artiste at the time said she had embraced her new look, adding that the comments reinforced society’s unrealistic expectations of women.
