“Mi Nav Nuh Vagina Fi Waste,” Tifa Talks Celibacy, Dating And New Music
It’s been one year and six months since dancehall artiste Tifa had sex, and since her celibacy hit headlines, her DMs have been rather…eggplanty.
“It’s the most I’ve received d–k pics; I had to be just deleting d**k pics out of my DM…just thousands and thousands and thousands of d–ks in my DM,” Tifa said in a recent Pedis and Mimosas interview.
It was even more awkward as the entertainer said she isn’t the biggest fan of nude photos.
“If I were in a relationship that’s different…I’m not really into pictures…random d–k pics it’s like okay, what am I supposed to do with this now? Some of them are not groomed, some of them are not circumcised, some of them are cute, but okay, what am I supposed to do with this picture?”
She added that though she’s not sexually active, she prefers a circumcised penis and isn’t afraid to do a smell test before getting busy.
News of Tifa’s celibacy came as a shock to some people who recalled her being engaged in 2019. Though she did not speak about that situation, she explained the reason behind her abstinence.
“Mi nav nuh vagina fi waste…mi know what I can bring to the table and I don’t have the emotional time,” she said. “I just want somebody that I can build with at this point. I’ve done the young girl thing, I just want somebody serious and it’s kinda hard when you have Latifa the person, and Tifa the persona, cause you don’t know who want Tifa fi seh, ‘oh yeah a mi a f–k Tifa’ as opposed to who wants Latifa to say ‘I want to build something with Latifa’. So it’s a little hard and then after each relationship I like to take a break, I like to purge…chill for a while, it just so happens that it took so long.”
She added that her celibacy doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to “buss it wide open…go pon mi head top…jump pon the dresser” and do the most, it just means she wants to do those things with the right person.
As to where she is on the latter, she’s currently seeing people outside the industry. She added that she doesn’t have a type, but if you’re unhygienic, dull, and a shallow conversationalist, you don’t stand a chance.
“None of my exes are alike… I’ve had the dark, short chocolate, I’ve had the half Chinese, I’ve had the Italian… I wanted to take a break off Jamaican men though based on situations that happened…I was just so heartbroken.”
Though she doesn’t require a Bill Gates financial portfolio, she does want a man who can match her hustle and spoil her. This led to a conversation about women being gold-diggers which Tifa related to the domestic murders that have plagued Jamaica over the past three years.
“Just like how we’ve been hurt, there are a lot of men that have been hurt and used also so sex is just their thing. You give me this (sex), I give you that (money)… People are married and do the same thing…”
“In Jamaica now there’s a lot of murder-suicides because of that; they marry these people, especially women, they don’t want these men and then him find out he’s getting bun or he’s getting cheated on or him find things in her phone and it’s murder-suicide.”
Tifa is currently promoting All Night Long, produced by HOT 107.9’s DJ Kash. The visuals premiered on his Youtube page days ago.
“What All Night Long is about is something that all of us go through, especially as females. We’ll meet a guy and oh my God he’s so awesome, his personality, the way he dresses, the way he treats his mom, he’s so kind. But then we decide to have sex and it’s awful…so that’s basically what the song is about. I’m shallow when it comes on to sex and if you can’t do it the way I want you to do it then it’s thank you, next, goodbye.”
She will be releasing another single to close out the year, the visuals for which she co-directed.
“Let’s just say a lot of people are gonna love the song, and a lot of people are gonna hate me for the song,” she teased. “It’s a really good song and it’s a reality song and it’s just me talking my mind and just saying how I feel about certain things.”
