Mr. Real Rich, Tanto Blacks, has once again gone viral on social media for mispronouncing a word. This time it’s the word “Kranium”.

Blacks was simply trying to pay homage to Dancehall star Kranium‘s hit song Nobody Has to Know but had difficulty getting the singer’s name just right.

In the 47 second video posted on Da Rappa Dappa’s YouTube channel Tanto can be seen recording his new song in the studio. The video starts out with Tanto saying “Kray-num”.

A man, who appears to be the audio engineer helps him with the pronunciation and says “Kran-ium”.

Tanto then pleads with him to “tek time and call it”. The “audio engineer” repeats the correct pronunciation several times while Tanto tries to mimic him.

At one point, he catches the pronunciation and proceeds to spit the lines he was supposed to say. He goes, “….nobody naafi know like kraminum seh”. After mispronouncing his paused and tried to practice his pronunciation once again.

Tanto says “Kraninum” to which the engineer said “Ah Kranium man”. The sound engineer patiently sounded out each syllable and said it slowly. Tanto got a hang of the pronunciation until he went back to the mic and tried to say his line. He said, “nobody naafi know like kraminum seh”.

The video ended with the line still not successfully recorded.

The comments under the video were, “U never fail to make me laugh”.

The video was reposted to Twitter and people shared similar sentiments. “I laugh so till #CRAYmiNum jeeeesuuuussss” One person relates to his struggle and confessed, “a so word beat me to enuh”

Another person came to his defense. One user said “Unuh can tan dey dey a laugh and a try tell di man wey fi sey, tanto have him owna language and a it him a go use!”

One user found a life lesson in the video and said, “Key takeaway from this… even when they laugh at you, keep going.#realrich”

This is not the first time Tanto Blacks has received attention for mispronouncing a word.  He had a similar problem with the word balcony.

Tanto Blacks exploded on the dancehall scene in 2016 and released hits like Real Rich.

While he took off in 2016, he wasn’t new to Dancehall. The Real Rich singer was on Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall in 2010 where he used to rile up the crowd with his exciting performances. His last song was Memba Seh Wi Rich with Shemdon.

We aren’t sure when the song Tanto was trying to record in the video will be released but we’ll be on the lookout.
