Reggae star Protoje has welcomed Jaz Elise as the fourth addition to his In.Digg.Nation collective partnership with the New York-based RCA Records.

He took to Twitter to earlier today (October 16) to officially welcome Jaz Elise, tweeting: “Want to Officially welcome @jazeliseJA to the
@indiggco x @RCARecords deal and announce her first single ft @GOVANAGENNA
out now on all platforms. https://smarturl.it/FreshandClean.”

The Fresh and Clean remix is a refreshingly wonderful combination of Govana’s signature style and her melodious voice. The song is very catchy and the beat is smooth. It will probably receive a lot of airplay as it was thoughtfully done.

Elize will join two other female artistes also well known for their Reggae offerings. They are Lila Iké and Sevana.

Jaz Elise, known for her soulful delivery, was born and raised in Kingston Jamaica. She is considered a multi-talented artiste and has said previously that she intends to use her music for the upliftment of people. On her Spotify page, she states: “Fulfill your purpose by following your passions and your heart guided by the wisdom of those who came before. Know that you are, you can and you will.”

Jaz Elise, whose real name is Jasmine Taylor began her career at just 5-years-old singing in a children’s choir. She is a dancer and actor and is also known for her work with Quilt Performing Arts Company and co-starring in films such as Capture Land.

The song that has been remixed, Fresh and Clean, was released by Elise in 2019 and became a hit as she celebrated the everyday life of her hometown, Kingston. She described the song as one that tells the story about striving for your goals no matter what.

“The song is about working towards your dreams and allowing yourself to be free, unapologetic, and grateful. Go to your full potential and be your happiest self,” Elise said during an interview with popular music magazine Fader.

She added: “The video was just the perfect visual to show people in their element. It tells a beautiful story of a little boy who has a dream to learn how to ride a bicycle; he was in a situation where it didn’t seem possible & he found a way to just make it happen.”

She also expressed her joy at being given the chance to work with someone like Protoje. “When I decided to do music I had no idea where it would take me or the kind of mentorship I would have,” she explained.

She continued on to say: “Being in this industry without certain kinds of support and guidance was sometimes really hard for me but when I started working with Protoje it eventually organically fell into place.”

Elise also took to Twitter to share her appreciation at being given the chance to work with In.Digg.Nation Collective, Six Course, and RCA Records. She tweeted: “Fullllyyyy indigg G Folded hands Gratitude always King Digg.”
