Elephant Man is putting back the dance in Dancehall with his fun and vibey brand new music video for his single, Skankers.  The video, which was released on October 9, is soul train magic.

The nostalgic feel one gets watching Skankers reminds Elephant Man’s fans why they loved him in the first place. He’s a ball of energy, his music is fun, he knows how to entertain, and he gets you excited about his music, which effortlessly pulls you in.

Watch Skankers below.

Skankers was produced by Downsound Entertainment and Jay Will, Jamaica’s visual top boss was responsible for directing the video.

Jay had a vision and pitched the Energy God the concept for the video. According to Vibe, Jay recalled, “Elephant said he loved Snoop’s ‘Sensual Seduction’ video.”

“I pitched him the concept of doing a ‘Skankers’ Soul Train line with all the dancers he shouts out on the song.”

That bright idea is now a sensational reality on the screens of dancehall lovers.

Dancehall star Ce’cile was project manager, who worked with stylist Ayana Rivière responsible for fittings and dress rehearsals for Jamaican street dancing greats, including, John Hype, Shelly Belly, Marvin Di Beast, TC, Daniboo, Dancing Rebel, and Dolly Body, and if that wasn’t enough, crews like Black Dice, Exclusive Dancers, and Team Royal were a beautiful addition to the production.

The video didn’t disappoint with Elephant Man’s hype, crazy musical melodies that he’s so familiar with creating.

The visual capture Walshy Fire of Major Lazer rocking/donning an afro wig and vintage fashion in the role of smooth host Don Marvelous, the gifted and dynamic “Signal Di Plane” Elephant entertainer plays the keytar and talk box, hitting us with melodies that don’t get old, and dancers busting moves that bring back memories of dancehall from a different era. All this is happening in an old school party environment, featuring an “80s pop throwback by the English band Cutting Crew over a space-age dancehall track,” as Vibe puts it.

One fan asked, “Can we have this Dancehall back?” Another commented, “Soul Train – Dancehall Style. Love it.”

“Elephant Man never loses his voice on any beat. No matter what the flow and the style is consistent. I love his arts and acts,” wrote someone else.
