Dancehall vixen Shenseea is expected to be featured on a new collab later this week, October 7, with Masego.  The American-Jamaican artiste is considered a TrapHouseJazz singer and is renowned for his infusion of saxophone into his eclectic brand of music. The song, called Silver Tongue Devil, will also be featured on his upcoming EP which has not been given a title as yet.

Masego is best known for his song Tadow with Fkj, which was released in 2017 and has over 235 million views on YouTube. His choice to collaborate with the ShenYeng Queen was not by chance as he revealed that he has Jamaican roots. He made the revelation during an interview on IRIE FM today (October 5).

“My father is from Waterhouse and I don’t know if anybody knows that. Any American knows Shottas, or any surface-level information, so I just like telling my version of being Jamaican,” he said.

He added that this was the reason he chose Shenseea for this particular collaboration as she was able to help him deliver his take on his Jamaican experience.

“I love great music, I love great melody and when I hear that I love to collaborate, so that’s kinna how all that gets put together,” he continued.

Masego, whose real name is Micah Davis, also said that his team is always on the lookout for the right artiste for him to team up with and that Shenseea has been trending so he felt it was the right time for them to get together and produce some music.

“You can’t miss her these days in Jamaica. All of my friends are always talking about Shenseea. I mean all of my close family out here are listening to her,” he said.
Masego revealed that he had a few artistes in mind that he wanted to work with and that Shenseaa’s team was very accommodating when he contacted them with his idea.

Shenseaa is just one of the many collaboration with Jamaican artistes that he is hoping for, as he is currently in Jamaica and is also hoping that he can meet up with dancehall sensation Koffee, Chronixx, and Stalk Ashley. His meeting with them is in line with his hope to show Jamaican music and culture to the world.
