If Dancehall fans thought the Worl’ Boss was finished firing off at his foes for the year, they were wrong.

On Friday, Kartel rolled out the savage diss track and visuals for, ‘Skate’ featuring rising Gaza affiliate, Sikka Rhymes. The lyrics, location and light-skinned antagonist form a beeline to none other than Gaza adversaries I Waata and Intence, who’ve been feuding with members of the camp since April. The song is a scathing clap back at their cryptic September single Havoc, which cites an anonymous enemy with a “short gyal” who “been a back it”.

The Face Xpression directed video opens with SWAT Team Radio Chatter before pinning the location at Tavern, where both Intence and I Waata hail from.

The storyline follows a fair-skinned “mad dawg” who snatches someone else’s shoes and is quickly cut down for it. The shoes in question are of course, Clarks, the shoe brand that Kartel brought to mainstream popularity little over a decade ago. The owner of the pair calmly confronts the thief before sending a female assassin to execute the “easy kill” and recover the loot.

It’s worth mentioning that Kartel, Shawn Storm, and two others were convicted for the murder of an associate, allegedly over “shoes” – which is thought to be code for illegal guns.

When the squabble started earlier this year, Kartel promised to give his enemies “hell from in a cell”, and the hitmaker hasn’t let up. Delivering some gritty barbs on the thumping bassline, Kartel spits, “None a dem nuh badder dan mi nеws shoes dem/ Mussi have a magician round dеsso a fool dem/ Pan a knock, bush wacker, black blood, ah who dem?/ Badda dan, K shot, mek some bwoy start skate pan dem hand, skate pan pon dem hand Skate-skate-skate/ Skate pan pon dem hand.

Sikka Rhymes, who voiced a solo diss track for Intence on Addi’s behalf called Dem Nuh Bad back in April, was ready again with more hard-hitting bars in his mentor’s defence. “Hear dem yah – boom boom boom, sumadi missing/ When di chrome dem weh nuh glisten rise up/ All dem do a watch face, dem nuh see dem time up? Minus, tek weh dem gyal cah mi nuh buy f***/ Who dem a style up?”

To say Gaza fans are excited would be a gross understatement, as the views climb steadily towards the 150K mark. Currently at 100K, Kartel’s fans are claiming a clear bias, alleging that Youtube had the visuals stuck at 69K for two hours.

His and Intence’s beef began as a tit for tat over trending, but the all to familiar fight hasn’t stopped the Gazanation from once again lauding their leader’s artistry. From an Intence parry look alike to the image of a smiling ‘world’ on the shirt worn by the killer, di Teacha has his fans reading all the way into the details and enjoying every bit.

“I USE TO BE A FAN, BUT AFTER HEARING THIS MASTERPIECE, I’M A WHOLE AIR CONDITIONER!!! #GAZA #FULLYUPGRADE”, one fan wrote while another said, “Dem kill intense Ina him owna yard, that’s a big disrespect tpc, mi see di location “Tavern” from dem cah run dem place a which part else dem ago run.”

It looks like another win for the Worl’ Boss, with this cryptic blow to those still trying to fill his shoes. As yet another Gaza enthusiast quipped, “from yuh try size up or walk inna #ADDI shoes yuh affi pay d price, “shoes yuh want shoes yuh get”.
