Dave East Reminisces On Good Vibes During Recent Trip To Jamaica
American rapper Dave East is no doubt nostalgic right now after the royal treatment he received in Jamaica just a few weeks ago.
The Harlem rapper touched down for a video shoot with the Unruly Boss Popcaan, and was chaperoned from the gritty inner city to gorgeous island retreats. Now it seems he’s already missing those days, and with good reason as his Jamaican celebrity host outdid himself to show East, who sports a large Bob Marley tattoo, a good time and the best of the island.
The rapper and members of his entourage uploaded several clips of his experience to Instagram, where they seemed right at home among Popcaan, Dre Island, Unruly Squid, and Skillibeng. Captioning a recent repost of Jamaican child star Donte’s Sunday antics, East tweeted, “This was me in Jamaica @Popcaan Chubble!!!!”

On Instagram, Popcaan responded to the video with “real bomboclaat chubble killy.”
Donte rose to fame after a clip of him meeting his idol, Aunty Donna, went viral and he’s been working at many ventures since. One of those is his farm, and while he’s normally busy on-site on Instagram, he posted a humorous video of some well deserved R&R last Sunday. “I’m just relaxing on a Sunday day. Sunday you must relax and stay home and quarantine. I know all my people out there quarantined right now. I got girls in the hot tub right now relaxing”, Donte said.
The post had Dave East reminiscing on the good vibes, high grade, and scenic locales from his recent trip. Popcaan took his collaborator to spots in Tivoli, Barbican and St. Catherine, before a final rendezvous at the hip and luxurious GoldenEye Resort in St. Mary.

The two became fast friends and East even met Popcaan’s dad, Shaggy during his short stay.
While fans wait patiently for the Unruly visuals to drop, it seems like a strong possibility that the Menace rapper will be back, even if it’s sometime in the distant future.
For now, his focus is his growing family, as he recently confirmed via IG that he and his heavily pregnant baby mama, Millie Colon, are expecting their second child together.
