Fans can seemingly expect in short order, a new project from Dancehall superstar Popcaan, which will be a collaborative EP to feature the singer and members from his Unruly collective.

The OVO signee made this declaration in a recent online interview with Kube 93.3 Radio, based out of Seattle, where he discussed a variety of topics, including his album FIXTAPE, which was released on August 7 to critical acclaim.

However, what has gotten fans excited was the news that he was currently in the midst of working on the new collaborative EP with members of the Unruly clan that was far advanced.

He mentioned that the EP would see him working with some members of the Unruly camp, including Quada, Frahcess One, Furnace, Chev the Goddess, Prince Ikeem, J Deva, and Unruly Cuz, among others.

“I have a EP coming with those artiste to as well, just me and all of them with collabs ennuh” he told Kube 93.3.

When asked about the status of that effort, he responded that they were currently mixing it. “Well, we mixing it right now, so once it’s finished mixing, we are looking at a date to drop it,” he said.

He, however, pointed out that they have not named the EP as yet but mentioned that it was coming soon, and fans should look out for it.

This is not the first iteration of major work done by the Unruly clan. In April, they put their vocal skills to work on the True Story Riddim, which was produced by Popcaan’s Unruly Entertainment and Sky Entertainment.  That effort featured Valiant, Unruly Cuz, Oven Boss, Prince Ikeem, Italis, J Deva, Furnace, Frahcess One, Dane Ray, Quada, Zamunda, and the Unruly boss himself.

A ten-minute video was later released on YouTube as a medley to further showcase the efforts of the team.

Popcaan has been really busy even though COVID-19 has slowed the entertainment industry.  Just recently, American rapper Dave East was in Jamaica to shoot a music video with the St Thomas native for their collab, Unruly.
