Dancehall artiste Skillibeng launched his new ‘Brik Pan Brik’ EP today, August 20 with a brand new single and an interestingly ephemeral track lineup.

The collection includes his renowned hit Brik Pan Brik single along with just two other singles, i.e. his previously released Mr. Universe and the debut of Million A Dolla, which completes a brief eight minutes of streaming.

News of Skilli’s latest EP release came through Out Deh Life via Twitter, who produced the collection and holds the copyright of the sound recording. Currently, the 3-track EP is available on all major music platforms including Apple Music, YouTube Music, and the iTunes Store.

Skillibeng’s last EP Prodigy released last year, July 2019 featured 9 tracks. He has since dropped several other singles and was featured in a long list of collaborations with local and international artistes.

While the new EP only features 3 tracks, the selection does include two of his most successful singles to date. Brik Pan Brik of course is the most talked about and rounds up the heaviest in streaming figures, tallying 6.4 million views with the official audio and music video numbers combined. Mr. Universe has just about 3.7 million views, also with the audio and video streams combined.

The new single, Million A Dolla may very well be the emphasis of the mini collection as it platforms another signature lyrical delivery from the EastSyde Records recruit. The single, like the title suggests, is Skilli flossing his millions.

In explaining how tireless his spending has become, he also makes it known, “we spend it blasphemous.”

He’s a moneymaking machine, “Hustle fi couple seven figure, big Bimma a nuh Fiat, nuttn like Tida. One million, million pon millions/ Hustle hard fi make mi money, it nuh small enuh,” he sings in a few of the verses.

Skillibeng is also celebrating tasting Billboard success for the first time through his contribution to the Shatta Wale led Tropical Cruises to Jamaica: Reggae Collector album.  The album stands at the No. 16 position on Billboard’s Compilation Chart and includes a track from Skillibeng called Middle Day.

He told the Jamaica STAR today, “This latest success only represents how hard Skillibeng has been working and this is just the beginning because hard work for me never stops”.  He added, “This is a great look for dancehall and Jamaican music on a whole, and me just feel like the work really just start put in.”
