Konshens Creates Shockwaves In New Video For ‘Backaz’: Watch

Leave it to the dancers in Konshens’ new music video to create a mesmerizing display. The ladies took things to a whole new level with their stimulating choreography as they rocked out to the Dancehall deejay’s electrifying track, Backaz in the video that dropped yesterday August 14 on VEVO/YouTube.

It doesn’t seem like there was much for Konshens to do on the project but to sit pretty and lip-sync the lyrics to his previously released single and of course relish in the exotic production, courtesy of TJ Records.

Upon previewing clips from the video shoot spanning through last week, the singer picked up some heat from critics on Instagram who were of the opinion that the visuals and photos were just too raunchy. It didn’t take Konshens long to clap back and in doing so, went on his IG story to return criticism to fans not supporting his less spicy projects.

“My favs are the over righteous so-called ‘Konshens fans’ who complain about sexuality and rawness in my music yet don’t even know that I released 2 Reggae Songs On The Same Riddim bout 2 weeks ago,” he wrote.

The detractions didn’t slow the release of the music video nor affect the level of heat of the visuals within. As Konshens intros the song, the girls remove their clothing to then hop inside an inflatable pool overflowing in foaming bubbles.

As their quick gyrating moves create even more bubbles, other scenes capture several other girls executing gravity-defying dance moves and impossible transports of their tail end. Along with the much talked about Popsicle scene and other props involving a banana, balloons, and a giant swirly-wirly lollipop, the video comes complete with some hilarious bloopers at the end – watch it here.

Backaz is featured on the Incredible Riddim, which dropped earlier in March, along with Charly Blacks’ Sidung, Sean Paul’s Bend You Back and Vybz Kartel and Sikka Rhymes’ lead single Incredible.
