For Owner of CubanLynk Records Joseph Clarke, almost 3 million views on Skillinbeng’s Mr. Universe video on the Traplife Riddim, in little over two months, is proof of his competencies and the quality of work he produces.

The New York-based producer, who said he got the name CubanLynk from the Unruly boss Popcaan three years ago, told DancehallMag that Skillibeng’s style was ideal for the flow he wanted on the Riddim.

“Mr. Universe is a Trap Dancehall Vibe… Hearing Skillibeng flow and style of music, I knew if I could get him on this Rhythm it would be different because it’s not a routine Dancehall Riddim, it’s more of a new generation sound which Skillibeng has mastered.”

Clarke said everything after the release of the track exceeded his expectation.

“I reached out to someone who knew him, and he got the rhythm to him (skillibeng) for me…Since the release of Mr. Universe, I’m surprised to see the reception from the fans of music. They have put the song on a pedestal, and this makes me feel proud to know that people appreciate the creative effort we brought with the song and also the music video.

CubanLynk said he also has five other songs on the Traplife Riddim, including a song by upcoming artiste Valiant.

“The song is called TopFyt, which also has a music video and has also been getting some buzz as Valiant is signed to Popcaan’s Unruly Camp.

The former Teen Disc Jockey who, only two years ago, started producing professionally, said he is happy with the success he has experienced so far with a chart-topper and is looking forward to working with acts like Koffee sometime in the future.

“Currently, I have a project dropping, Driptime Riddim, and on this project, there is Shaqstar with a song called Cartoon, he is from the 6ix 1Law Camp. Another upcoming popular Artiste, also a member of chronic laws camp, Frahcess, has a Song on the riddidm called Brilliant. Both these songs have music videos that will be out on August 14, 2020”
