Skillibeng Drafted By Jakal In New Video For ‘Sound Like’ With Popcaan Cameo: Watch

The very sought-after Skillibeng is once again drafted for a hot new collab. The single and music video, Sound Like dropped today on YouTube where the Dancehall deejay is taken on as a feature for a track led by the Jamaican rapper, Jakal.

Hubert Johnson, aka Jakal is a deported Jamaican New Yorker, former thug/drug dealer turned rapper. Having returned to Jamaica in 2012, he soon found a career rapping in the Dancehall capital. Jakal has had a slow entry on the music scene, however has dropped a steady series of singles in the past few years and collaborated with some major players in the game including, Chronic Law, Masicka, Jah Vinci, Rygin King, D’Angel and now Skillibeng.

His single Sound Like officially released back in early April, now with new visuals and remixed with some slick deejaying from EastSyde Record’s finest, Skillibeng, the track is seamlessly progressing forward in streams. Produced by 3R40 Records, Y Rush and Claims Records, the thrill-effecting riddim levels low to platform the vocals of the two artistes.

Jakal intros, spitting rhymes about chasing paper, prolifically releasing flows, “killin a hundred shows” and stepping away from his previous occupation of “selling crack.” Once Skillibeng comes in, he immediately paints a war scene, describing how he guns down these imposters while imitating the sound of his weapon, “bam bam bam, dem hear di shot and swear ah bomb, ah bare disaster.” At one point in the video, he even motions gun fingers to his head to fill in his lyrics where he methods more killing. The music video, courtesy of Focussed Media JA, snippets the Unruly Boss Popcaan then goes on to capture several bike riding and car racing scenes.
