Jahvillani Brings His ‘Dark Emotions’ To Light In New Track: Listen

Dancehall artiste Jahvillani brings some ‘real talk’ in a brand new track titled ‘Dark Emotions.’  The song, released yesterday, is produced by Finesse Chapo Music on the Rich Blessings riddim.

Jahvillani sets the flow for the track with his intro: “Mi rather a man seh mi hype enuh dawg, than seh mi beg him a ting yuh zimi.”

This provides a foreshadowing of the message that the artiste will focus on for the duration of the track. “A nuh everybody glad fi yuh // But the journeys continue // Dem nuh love how wi ambitious // Yuh own fren start plan fi yuh, ” he opens the song.

This tells us that his “dark emotions” are due to untrustworthy people who seem to wish him well but have sinister motives. This is in light of his success which he has worked very hard to achieve and continues to work to maintain and increase.

The Wileside Government deejay expresses his determination to not stoop to the levels of the naysayers and fake friends. He will continue to do his thing and let them do their thing. This is reinforced by the words of his chorus

Dark Emotions is a song with a real message intertwined with witty lyrics providing metaphorical techniques and imagery. The song has a simple flow that sits well with the riddim and makes it easy for the listeners to hear what Jahvillani has to say.
