Lisa Mercedez, IQ – Insecure

UK based Dancehall artiste Lisa Mercedez and IQ, brother of QQ, team up with the producer genius Damage Music to bring this project to life.

The duo perfectly blends their vocal talents to harmonize on the chorus of this track

“Mi nuh inah one  baga talking wid yuh, bwoy
Yuh have mi calling off yuh phone,
Have mi feeling insecure
But mi naah go leave you alone”

In the song, Mercedez sends an invite to IQ to be shown the time of his life because her “man a gwaan like him nuh know mi”.

IQ accepts her challenge as he details why he is the one that Mercedez chooses to fulfill her needs.

Check out Insecure if you can relate on either side of that conversation.

Busy Signal – Ahh Haa

The dancehall heavyweight who goes by the name Busy Signal is known for his catchy slangs and one-liners. Ahh Haa has the potential to be counted among the list of Busy Signal slangs.

In this song Busy shows that he is proud of his accomplishments and is not afraid to flaunt them.

He also dishes out some words of encouragement to his listeners:

“Unuh seh mi show off but mi a count mi blessing
Nuh listen when dem a talk because dem so depressing
Dem neva yet know the facts because dem always guessing
Live yuh dreams be what yuh wanna be yeah yeah”

If you agree with the original Hot Head about working hard and enjoying the benefits then you can definitely jam to Ahh Haa.

Busy Signal – World Crisis

In the words of DJ Khaled, “Another one.”

Busy Signal takes on an old school style reggae riddim in this one.

“Never know the day will come when things get so hard
Nuff a dem tek it fi fun until it end up a dem front yard
(A wah wi seh?)
World crisis it name world crisis
And every one a wonder what kinda times this
World crisis this is a world crisis
Biological warfare at its finest”

The deejay tries to open our eyes to what is taking place in the world; from virus outbreaks to social injustices, racial prejudices, and more. Busy is never one to shy away from the issues and he does so effortlessly and masterfully with World Crisis.

Taurus Ink – Talk Seh Mi Hype

Up and coming deejay Taurus Ink sends a message to the hypocrites in Talk Seh Mi Hype.

The deejay drops this track with a music video on his YouTube channel.  The fans are loving it and are down with the realness that Taurus brings to the table.

“Mi nuh tree like people because unuh f—kup a dat mi nuh like
True mi do mi ting discreet, nuh know mi bizniz a talk seh mi hype
S—k unuh mada, unuh cyaa change how mi live
S—k unuh mada, people nuh change mi nuh know how unuh dweet”

The video depicts his message as the song shows a male and a female talking ill of the artiste in secret. One of the persons then calls up Taurus Ink to give him ratings and wish him the best.

This is something that happens daily in society. It might have even happened to you. Check out this artistes interpretation and message to such persons.

HoodCelebrityy – Broke Boy

This song is bad news for all the men who have fallen in love with dancehall’s Walking Thophy diva and don’t have the bank account numbers to even be given the time of day.

She makes it clear that

“Nuh broke bwoy cyaa get mi hype
Cau broke bwoy a nuh my type, dem a nuh my type
Mi a star girl hafi live star life
Mi hafi live star life”

HoodCelebrityy makes her stance clear so check yourself before you make your approach. Even if you don’t have the cash strength, still check out the song Broke Boy to see where you need to be to stand a chance.

Equaliza, Jahvillani – National

For those of you who love football, dancehall, or hot girls, Equaliza and Jahvillani have a treat for you. A music video with all three things combined.

Equaliza lets us know that

“Yow man a National
Top striker yow like Balotelli
Yow man a National
Sharp like saw man wi kill yuh dem ready”

The duo produces an interesting combination of vocals and lyrics with some smoking hot females playing football. See for yourself.
