Described as one of Dancehall’s latest breakout stars, Khxos, known for his debut single One Touch and latest hit Tambrin, has teamed up Konshens and rising artiste/producer, Chargii on Taboo.

As its name suggests, the highly energetic song is an ode to the infamous nightclub and the nostalgia surrounding the now-halted Jamaican nightlife scene.

“I went to Taboo after an event last year while in Jamaica and I observed that it had turned into a hip, after-party spot,” Khxos said of the inspiration behind the track.

“Also, I saw where women would fantasize about having the bodies of the dancers in the club.” The single is also about inclusivity and is appreciation of all womens’ body types.

tabooThe track is produced by Kheilstone, who is credited for his work with numerous industry greats: Sizzla, Malibu Miitch, Popcaan, among others. It is the single you want to hear during a party and channels the more carnal side of dancehall music.

Both Konshens and Chargii were the perfect addition to the track as the trio’s energies matched the flow of the track. “The song itself is a vibe, it can be added to a sex playlist or a strip club playlist – that’s the vibe listeners will get from it… sexuality!” said Konshens. The pair have previously teamed up before – recently on Khxos’ latest EP ‘Melanin’. Similarly, Chargii and Khxos recently teamed on the radio hit ‘High Like This’, which was released earlier this year.

Born Oshane Logan in Jamaica, Khxos spent his early years in St. Elizabeth before emigrating to the U.S. as a teen. Landing in Brooklyn, he had the opportunity to make some of his early recordings with LMR Pro (credited with his work with Vybz Kartel, Kranium) before relocating to South Florida where he currently resides. He released his debut single  ‘One Touch’ in 2016 which was followed by a remix of Drake’s ‘One Dance’ with comedian-turned-artiste Trabss. He then linked up with Grammy award-winning producer Sean Alaric to release his first EP ‘Deception’.

The single is now available across all digital streaming platforms and is being released by LA-based Indie label Delicious Vinyl Island who has continued to champion the new wave of artistes/sounds emerging from the Caribbean.
