The COVID-19 pandemic and the quarantine measures taken by most countries has inspired a fresh new sound called the Kwarantine Riddim.  The fast-paced dancehall beat is the brainchild of Florida based Pascalli under her new music production company, Mogul Beatz, and it features some well-known names in Dancehall like Red Rat and Ding Dong.

Red Rat is also her partner in the company and in the production of this beat.  They are also partners in life and have been dating for twelve years.

The riddim is extremely catchy and Ding Dong adds his special touch to it, asking a few days ago on Instagram, “What good is your woman if she doesn’t hurt your head?”

Pascalli’s riddim features artists and producers who come together to deliver:

  • Mad Head – Ding Dong featuring Pascalli
  • Stuck In Quarantine – Red Rat
  • Hardcore Love – Pascalli
  • Cheating Games – BayC & Tifa
  • and others

According to a press release sent to DancehallMag Pascalli has been involved in dancehall for over ten years now and also has an impressive online following.

“Miami, Florida bore this multi-racial beauty, while the Bahamas and Switzerland developed her exotic demeanor. Pascalli ventured into singing and songwriting in 2009 and International Dancehall Artist Red Rat was able to see her talents as a pop singer and as a songwriter.

In 2016, Pascalli and Red Rat began a music production team called Mogul Beatz, collaborating with artists across the world in various genres, from Pop, Afro Beats, Hip Hop, Trap, R & B, Reggaeton, Dancehall and also EDM. In 2019, Pascalli earned a plaque for co-writing a song by Red Rat entitled “Higher” produced by DJ Buddha which attained over 21 Million streams on Spotify which was also licensed by Zumba.”

She also appeared virtually on the set of Onstage, with host Winford Williams last Saturday, June 13 to talk more about her hot new riddim. She explained that while she was under quarantine in Miami she became tired of streaming Netflix and looking for reality shows and decided to put her efforts into building the riddim.

“I got pretty bored and one day the melody just came to me and I started humming it and Red Rat said you know what that’s really dope and I ran into the studio and I laid down the phrase for it right away,” she said.

She also shared that it was a bit of a trial error before she found the right sound she was looking for before Red Rat finished up the beat with the right drums and effects.

Pascalli went on to explain that Mogul Beatz is a subsidiary of Mogul Movements Worldwide and that her company writes and produces music for musicians from around the world.

Even though her music has found success in Latin America and even as far as Zimbabwe, she said that she is going to take all of her experiences in music over the years and begin to focus on delivering hits to the Caribbean region.

In her press release, she also stated some of the dancehall artistes she’s worked with to make her career in the Caribbean grow: ‘Alkaline and Stefflon Don “My Girl”.

Pascalli has been blessed to work with Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated producers, DJ Blackout from Blackout Movements, and Maffio along with Multi-Platinum selling producer Troyton Remi from Black Shadow Records and has also recently completed a song with the Jamaican Dancehall artists Beenie Man, Kes, Assassin, and Leftside.

She has been in the studio vigorously working on completing her debut EP while singing and performing all over the world.
