Jahmiel Foster, who goes by Jahmiel on stage, posted an interesting photo on his Instagram page two days ago showing a nurse dressed in her uniform and face mask. In her hand is a makeshift cardboard sign with the words “The Strongest Soldiers Get the Hardest Fight – Jahmiel”.
The dancehall artiste explained in the caption that he received the image from a nurse in Brooklyn, NY who had reached out to him. He quoted her exact words, “From Brooklyn wrote your song down in the hallways to carry us through”.

The artiste expressed his elation regarding the positive influence that his music provides in such a difficult time and sends prayers and love to New York City and the rest of the world. He said, “Happy my words could be of comfort to you all in this difficult time. My prayers and love goes out to NYC and the rest of the world”.
The image received over 14,000 likes and over 300 comments from fans and colleagues adding their words of encouragement including the likes of the Gully God Mavado.
New York City has become the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak with over 100,000 confirmed cases and a death toll rapidly approaching 10,000. The first responders are pushed to their limits trying to save lives and trying to keep themselves safe and sane. They need all the motivation and strength they can get.
Jahmeil’s words may seem like a drop in the bucket but it could serve as the last source of hope for a healthcare worker clutching at straws.
