Social media has been buzzing with reports that the Worl’ Boss was on Rvssian’s Instagram live last night (March 26th). You read that right, reports indicate that Vybz Kartel was somehow able to get access to Rvssian’s Instagram live, from behind bars and he called in to sing a few lines from his 2011 song Tun Up Di Scheme.

The clip is just a few seconds long but Kartel may be facing some sanctions for the brief stunt.

Twitter fans went crazy with the news that Kartel had been on the live. See some funny reactions below.  Prison authorities, however, were not amused. In fact reports indicate that his cell was raided and a cell phone was confiscated following the incident.

Soon after the seizure a statement was released by the Office of the Director of Public Affairs & Communication.

“The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) is investigating reports that an inmate was involved in a live stream on a popular social media platform” it states. “A search of the inmates cell and adjoining cells have been carried out by the DCS Search Team from the Caribbean Search Centre and the contraband found and removed.”

They also indicated that he along with two other inmates will now face sanction.

“Sanction for inmates responsible is pending. The department wishes to advise that these actions are taken seriously and efforts are being made to limit a re-occurrence of this nature,” the release stated.

Fans, especially those on Twitter are not pleased with the development as Kartel’s face is never shown throughout the few seconds and many of them argue it could have been anyone. They have a right to be worried as one of the punishments that he could face is solitary confinement.

One fan said: “I’m going to get dark an illiterate for a moment, on be half of my fello gaza nation we would like extend our long arm of agar justice an d say…… suck out yuh mumma suck all a yuh mumma dem Yours truly: Gaza nation #FreeWorldBoss #VybzKartel.”

Another fan bluntly put: “GUH SUCK OUT YUH MUMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #GAZA #KARTEL,” clearly upset about the entire situation. This fan felt the entire thing was just a show of authority, commenting: “Authorities love to perform to satisfy the public’s perception lol Dont be fooled thoughRolling on the floor laughing… The artist probably replace that phone already or them hold off until the public forgets then its business as usual 🤷🏿♀️Woozy face #Kartel,” and another tweeted in amazement that Kartel is perpetually relevant: “Every day mi see Kartel a trend. Even in times of crisis #GOAT #Kartel #Jamaica.”

Gaza fans probably do have a case that the artiste shouldn’t be targeted though, as it can’t be proven that he actually called in to the live.
